Instructor Profile – Jason Perkins

UWE Sport’s very own Mr. Motivator, Jason has worked at the Centre for Sport for over 5 years. His energetic personality and zest for life comes in handy both in the gym and when teaching classes, and now you can find out his tricks of the trade.

Best motivation: Other people pushing me to be the best I can be.

What inspired you to work in health and fitness career?

I’d always wanted a job where I can help people and fitness instructing was the perfect opportunity to do so.

Exercise is all about routine; finding a time in your day or week to plan it and then the motivation to go ahead and do it! It’s so good for every aspect of your health and well being.

How to improve your diet? I suggest eating healthily, little and often to keep you sustained throughout the day.

When I’m not working or working out, I love:

Watching films, riding bikes (both peddle and motor), eating great food and drinking the odd alcoholic beverage (it’s all about balance)!

What do I love about exercise?

The way exercise makes me feel in a day to day basis both physically and mentally is fantastic.
