How did I start my health and fitness career?
I was a semi-professional footballer so had always been into road running and fitness. I then took an interest in heart rate zones and periodical training which lead me to pursue it more seriously as a career. I gained the qualifications I needed and started working instantly. I found the industry was perfect for me, challenging my character as well as allowing me to develop my personal and professional skills. After 14 years, I’m still loving what I do every day!
Why do you think it’s so important to include exercise in your daily/weekly routine?
I think it’s crucial that people take part in exercise regularly. The physical and mental benefits are endless but it’s the feel good feeling you get after a workout that is the most beneficial to me! The body benefits are always made clear to people however the impact exercise has on the brain is very underrated yet so important.
I always get asked…
How come you’re always smiling? Because everyday you have the choice to be happy or not, I choose happy : )
When I’m not working or working out, you’ll find me…
On the golf course or in a quiet corner with my book and iPod.
The best thing about working out is?
The incredible feeling once you’ve finished.
