What inspired me to work in the health and fitness industry?

There are two main reasons. The first is a cliché but as a 14 year old, I watched the 1977 documentary ‘Pumping Iron with Arnold Schwarzenegger’ and read the British Bodybuilder, Dorian Yates’ book; I just thought what the bodybuilders were doing was incredible. I was also playing a lot of sport at the time; rugby, boxing and athletics and the fitness side of sport appealed to me. I began to consider health and fitness as a serious career option from then on.

It’s so important to include exercise in your daily life to improve self-esteem and overall health benefits.

I get asked a lot…

How do I gain muscle and lose weight? My response is always ‘what are you willing to put in to achieve it?’.

When I’m not working or working out, you’ll find me,

watching movies, box sets, documentaries or reading.

If you want to find out Jamie’s favourite pizza topping, you can find him in the Centre for Sport gym 5 days a week. What’s yours? Comment below.
