Get to know Sharief Adrissi!

In an interview with Sharief, he tells us about his sporting interests, background and career so far.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I’m 34 years old. Bristol born and bred. I have a real passion for health, fitness and sport. I play a lot of golf and enjoy weight training. I used to compete nationally as a men’s physique athlete/bodybuilder. I’m also a father to an amazing little girl.

What made you get into Personal Training and what do you like about it?

I’ve always loved training and love helping people so it was a perfect fit. I started working at UWE aged 19 as a part time recreation assistant but spent most of my time in the gym when I should have been setting up badminton courts! My manager at the time arranged for me to do my level 2 fitness instructor qualification and the rest is history.

What’s your top exercise tip?

You don’t grow in the gym. Rest, recovery and nutrition are key.

What can someone expect from a Personal Training session with you?

A good workout that is fun, challenging and makes you want to come back for more. Nothing but good vibes and energy!

Do you have a favourite workout song (and what is it)?

Workout – J Cole or ‘Friday’ – Riton/Nightcrawlers

What piece of advice would you give to someone who was just starting out in a gym?

Little and often wins the race. Leave your ego at the door and have fun.

Do you play or compete in any sports?

Golf, Football and Squash.

Describe yourself in three words?

Motivated, honest and caring

Which famous person would you most like to train and why?

Michael Jordan because he’s the GOAT!
